The Matrix Reloaded

The Matrix Reloaded is a movie strong on tenuous computer analogies continuing that theme, this film was the Pause/Break key, in the Matrix trilogy this was the intermission.

I hadn't really read anything about this before going so my expectations were not high. The generated stuff was impressive, although as JK points out was versions 1.0 - if not beta. I felt that it could have been a great movie if there had been a story but the narrative could be characterised by an infinite looping of pretensious weighty bit then cg fight then prestensious weighty bit then fight then ... ad infinitum - ernie characterises it well.

Neo was dull, for a new breed superhero anyway. Keanu Reeves has never been, in my view, a particularly great actor - in this he excels at being mediocre. The character I enjoyed most was Link (Harold Perrineau) - "Where's my pus... Hey Kids!" Trinity should have died, it would have brought the cheesy factor down a notch. Instead Neo revives her with some kind of invasive heart massage.

Some of the fx were spectacular. The camera tracking through the wheels of trucks was awesome! There was some intended humour, some of which was funny. The Keymaker dude was good.

It was a good way to spend the afternoon, or at least it was a change from the pub! I enjoyed it, would recommend it but probably won't see it again until 2013 when it's on TV at Christmas and I'm up for nostalgia.

saw matrix reloaded last night. you're right, the whole trinity thing sucked, and the movie could have benefitied from some kind of story line. the freeway scene was pretty amazing though.

i think it was just never going to live up to the original. i always had that feeling about the matrix - the power of the first movie was in the story telling - you felt sympathy for neo, the audience was discovering the truth behind the 'matrix' through his eyes. now neo is just a superhero who i don't actually like very much. maybe if they'd cast an actor in that role it would have worked out a little better.

that bit at the end - where neo stops the sentinels with his hand - i reckon that means they are actually all in some other program, like the matrix is an application, but the world that zion inhabits is actually an operating system. neo has worked out how to hack the OS, not just the app.

of course, i could be wrong. i was adamant that the girl was in the chimney sending out radio waves in 'the ring'

anyway i love the whole matrix reloaded movie. it was very surreal ,but it was kind of disappointing not knowing the whole truth behind what is really going down. having to play the game is not one of the things i expected. i didn't play the game, but i really want to know the behind the scenes of the matrix reloaded. the whole story on ghost and niobe. though this threw me off a little i still enjoyed the movie and loved the parts with neo and trinity. especially when neo saved trinity.the most disappointing thing in the movie i think was the "burly brawl" with neo. it looked to fake, but i still enjoyed the action.

I think that the the idea of the matrix is more than a film, ... it's a thought to opend mind for many other thoughts.
I think that the film was'nt made to be just a film and every word and action in it has a meaning (which is not really hapening in all the other movies).
O fcourse our world exist and we really survive the real world but it's nasty and opening mind to think the opposite ... it makes you more real

I saw matrix revolutions, this because I had seen the matrix and reloaded and loved both the movies completely. Keanu Reeves was an excellent choice as his looks are neutral, and not suggestive as many others (Leanardo couldnt fight the machines, harrison ford cant levitate like keanu, Bruce willis cant be seen as a bright young hacker...).

This movie cannot be called a "science fiction" the best phrase to describe it would be "technological hype", this movie unlike star wars does not go on forever, inventing ugly looking creatures and creating unwanted issues - there is just one point, peace between the machines and the "free humans" assisted by a few programs (such as the oracle, sati, Seraph and Rama Chandran), Neo (keanu, hero)ultimately makes peace.
The humans are in the war because the machines have limited the human thought and created a virtual reality world with a program called - "THE MATRIX" - watch it people its fun!

and speaking about reloded
com'on people,,,,, have you seen the fight scenes, the physical action, the special effects.
people who like the matrix are people who see a lot of films.
after the matrix each and every film started to show bullets or go around the actors( i mean camera) or making some things like go
slow and then fast.
all this things came from the matrix and you should thank it for changing the movie world.
matrix reloded gave us a transition and a couple of answers of the matrix. and it made us say
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww, and made us rub our eyes thinking that we only imagined what we saw on the tv.
revolutions made us cry.
to tell you the truh revolution has a bit action but a good one.
i am so sad that this is the end of the matrix trilogy.
I hope you guys do an action film just as the matrix with the same beautiful and talented actors
bye
you admirer
