War News in 1 Paragraph

In two welcome distractions from the 'usual' rolling war news, the British lost 9-3 playing football and the Poet Laureate sought to justify his title writing a widely criticised poem. Colin Powell visited NATO & European leaders in a 'bridge-building' effort at a time when there are increasing signs of slightly softening attitudes prevailing among traditional allies. The Saddam International Airport is now in Coalition control apparently. Broad criticism of US & UK for use of cluster munitions - or 'bomblets' as the MOD seem to think sounds nicer.
