Via Gizmodo via Slashdot I discovered the ultimate geek accessory - the VersaLaser. This amazing piece of kit can variously etch, cut and mark a whole range of stuff like glass, metal, stone, wood, paper, card fabric and rubber. The opportunities for fun are endless; build models, personalise everything, make cheap presents. One catchy idea on /. was to etch a cease and desist letter onto an AOL cd. Wow, I want one. It is so the coolest thing since someone thought of case mods! They are only $10,000 and I guess shipping to Europe might be a grand or so on top but if anyone, say you for instance, wants to buy me one then I will be happy to give delivery details.
