Invasion of the AirwavesNewsJust when Iraq has a chance to get itself in order I read plans to brainwash people with the American Corporate Reality in American TV in Iraq. Good Morning America et al will no doubt go down well in a country used to Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf. Simaltaneously Greg Dyke, Director General of the BBC Attacks U.S. Media War Coverage. Reassuring that the DG has come out against the patriotic news product which amazingly attracts relatively little domestic popular criticism. No doubt veteran anti-BBC commentator Andrew Sullivan will have something to say about this! Personally I'd rather have a reliable accessible to all news source which I knew was untainted by corporate interests, government control and political agenda even if it means that the market is distorted (and we have to pay the license fee.)
