Power Outage

The power outage which caused Business to come to a standstill in Northeast are a bit weird. Seems to be causing confusion in the markets as well with one trader saying, "We do not have any systems up, so we cannot trade because there is nowhere to trade to. We still have some voice brokers, so we have some idea where things are."

Reuters reported that the incident is seemingly unrelated to terrorism. But it's interesting how a so called "natural occurrence" leads to widespread jitters in the current climate.

It's like a psychological war of attrition where the other party doesn't even have to do anything for it to have real repercussions.
