Scottish National TheatreThe Executive pledges £6.5m to establish National Theatre. Based in Glasgow the National Theatre of Scotland will be non-building based commisioning works from existing companies throughout Scotland (which probably means Glasgow and occasionally Dundee or Edinburgh). Seems like the "theatre community" is welcoming this fairly unreservedly probably because they designed the plan. It doesn't seem like too much money though, what can realistically be done with that £2.5m in Yr1 and a further £4m in Year2? Posted by Paul at September 11, 2003 04:18 PM |
