Cannibal guilty of Manslaughter

Via Snowmail (Channel 4 News' daily email bulletin) is a report that German cannibal Armin Miewes has been found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 8 1/2 years in prison. The prosecution wanted murder, the defence sought homicide on demand. Reuters says, "Legal experts expect the case to be appealed and say it could ultimately go to the Supreme Court because it creates a legal dilemma - does killing a victim who wants to die constitute murder?"
