The finale of the Edinburgh International Festival was the annual Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert at Princes Street Gardens. Last year I attended up close, this year a few of us headed up to Inverleith Park to watch from afar with an amazing number of others. Unfortunately there was low cloud cover and the full impact was somewhat shielded. I had thought about trying to take photographs but forgot to organise a tripod. Still, I took a few as experiments, they'll be interesting... Notwithstanding the clouds, the fireworks still were impressive. The Scottish Chamber Orchestra performed Edvard Grieg's 'Peer Gynt' at the open air theatre in the gardens which was relayed up to Inverleith Park by Forth 1.
