It has been noted elsewhere that the Scotsman recently launched an archive containing every page of every copy of their paper ever published. I've just had a chance to have a look around the site, and an amazing site it is. I haven't shelled out cash for access, though it is very tempting. They offer free access to the first edition and, amongst a few others, the trial of Burke and Hare, the assassination of President Lincoln and the opening of the Forth Rail Bridge.
Pretty impressive stuff. And nicely written too.
