Nice dinner at Petit Paris on the Grassmarket tonight. I had a rare 10oz Prime Scottish grilled ribeye steak with cognac and peppercorn sauce. Absolutely beautiful! The steak was nicely cooked and the sauce complimented it perfectly. For dessert, as for the last two times I have dined here, I had La crème brûlée à la vanille which is not too shabby either. Nice wine, friendly service. Tonight we ate off the proper menu but in the past I have eaten from the fixed price menu which represents amazing value for money. The List says "You'll be fortunate to find a bistro as good as Petit Paris in France."
