It is apparently Mother's day on Sunday and so might be too late to buy by mail order. You could therefore do worse than making a visit to my friend Jen's shop, Perjink, on St. Stephen's Street, Stockbridge, Edinburgh. She also does mail-order so you can buy all of the necessary unusual or novel gifts by mail order.
