Comment / Review of The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown from Entertainment
" Recently my friend Michael told me about a book called 'The Da Vinci Code', a thriller which so inspired him he booked a trip to Paris to check out the details. Not many books have that effect on people and... "

I read that a few weeks ago too. While I thought it was a decent enough read, I have no idea how it's become the best selling hardback of all time. I thought the writing was a bit clumsy and the plot became very implausible towards the end.

This was a library book I had neglected to read while frantically preparing for a long trip. I started the day it was due and couldn't put it down (VERY impressed with the research) UNTIL about pg. 375 on when the action SLOWED too much! Then there was too much detail/explanations about LESS important matters. I was set to see the characters meet their goal they came so close to doing. It was like a play where the actors suddenly stopped acting and introduced themselves and got into small talk. Also somebody goofed in editing the Epilogue - sloppy grammar - awokened instead of awakened, and wrong use of message instead of massage.
